Let’s be real:
Two weeks ago, /build by Craft The Future didn’t exist.
It was a scrappy start — a devlog, a few posts, an attempt to write in public without the hype. Just honest, technical updates with a bit more heart.
But already, it’s become clear:
Just building isn’t enough.
Because every tool we ship comes with a shadow.
Every system we architect opens up questions:
Who’s protected? Who’s left out? Who writes the rules?
And maybe most importantly: Who tells the story before someone else does?
That’s why /build is evolving.
Not away — but outward.
🛠 /build — Make the thing
This is still our root. We prototype, we ship, we reflect.
But it’s naive to think you can stay purely technical.
The moment someone asks “How does this use my data?”,
you’ve left code — and entered power.
⚖️ /govern — Draw the lines
It hit me somewhere between ETHChicago and ETHToronto — talking on stages, realizing that code isn’t just code when people trust you to explain it.
Policy isn’t a whitepaper. It’s your architecture.
It’s your defaults. Your error handling. Your refusal to treat user safety like a toggle.
🌌 /dream — Tell the future
We have the tools. We have the questions.
But we also need a future we actually want to live in.
That means:
Afrofuturism matters here
Speculative design isn’t fluff
Olivia Butler already told us this was coming
We don’t just need better products. We need better myths.
🔀 Why all three — together
If we start with all three lenses — /build, /govern, and /dream —
then maybe we don’t have to backtrack when harm shows up later.
We can launch things that work and feel right.
Things that are usable, defensible, and visionary — all at once.
🗣️ But here’s the thing: we just started.
This is week two.
We’re figuring this out in public — no playbook, no illusion of polish.
So if you’re reading this:
You’re early.
You’re invited.
Your voice belongs here.
We don’t want to build this alone. We can’t.
Not if we actually mean to craft the future.
So whether you code, organize, write, dream, govern, teach, speculate — pull up.
Let’s talk.
